0. How Does Inventory Upload Work

In this article series, we will explain what you need to know about inventory upload and how to accomplish it.

Important!

If you want to upload car part images, you need to upload them first.

The most important thing to remember about inventory upload is - when uploaded from the local storage (computer or hard drive) car part images need to be uploaded before the inventory file.

Therefore, if you want to upload your locally stored images, please continue to FTP Software article. Otherwise, skip to the Inventory File Requirements or Upload Inventory File guide.

How Do We Upload Images?

You have two ways of uploading images to your inventory.

Option 1. Upload images from your local storage (computer or hard drive) directly to the Circularparts.com FTP server.

Option 2. Add image links to the inventory file. This applies when your images are already stored online. If this applies, please skip steps 1, 2, and 3 and go directly to the step 4: Inventory File Requirements.

Option 1. Uploading Images from a local storage

First, we will upload images to our FTP Server.

Second, we will upload the inventory file.

Once the images and inventory file have been uploaded to the FTP Server the system will try to make a match between the two.

More precisely, the system will try to match the asset ID column of your inventory file with the image folder names.

If done correctly, image folders with a match will then be uploaded to the Circularparts.com servers.

In these articles, we will guide you along the way.
